Appended at the end of this .pdf is a "A Short Select Bibliography of Books on Viet-Nam and the War." 5 pp., apparently compiled in 1967 or 1968 and not visibly related to the first bibliography (not necessarily compiled by Heaney or in AID).

Sandra M. Wittman, Writing about Vietnam: A Bibliography of the Literature of the Vietnam Conflict. Boston: G.K. Hall, 1989. Gives brief descriptions of most items. Mostly covers fiction, poetry, etc., but the section titled "Personal Narratives/Biographies", 67pp., 291 items, includes a wide range of non-fiction, not just personal narratives and biographies.

The Reference Branch of the U.S. Army Military History Institute placed online (in a slightly unusual format, as MS Word documents rather than .html or .pdf documents) a number of bibliographies relevant to the Vietnam War. But a later reorganization of Army web pages invalidated the links below, and I have not yet managed to locate new links to these items:
