Community Service (Clemson Counts)

Please note that members must be updated on your organization OrgSync account to log hours and receive credit as an organization. Community service is active, in-person participation in initiatives based on the social and environmental needs of a given community. Service will effectively contribute to the restoration of a community and/or its members, as well as meaningfully develop and demonstrate the skills of Fraternity and Sorority members. As a result of participating in community service, students will actively participate in processes of positive, sustainable change. Service will address and impact the needs of the Clemson University campus, as well as local and international communities. Service hours do NOT include raising or donating money; fulfilling practicum, co-op, or internship requirements; or participating in philanthropic events.
Philanthropy includes sponsorship, support, financial giving or other tangible donations contributed to an organization or cause. Philanthropic events include, but are not limited to: Dance Marathon, Relay for Life, Canned Food Drives, 5K Runs/Walks, and other large-scale events.
Notification of Initiation
For organizations, this forms is due seven business days prior to Initiation.
All potential new members of Greek Organizations must sign this form BEFORE joining an organization.
NPHC Initiative Funding Event Detail Form
This form must be completed and approved two weeks following the event funded by Initiative Funding.
This page is only accessible to our Chapter Presidents. Presidents will need to use their personal Clemson user id and password to gain access. If you are a president and cannot gain access, please contact the Fraternity and Sorority Life Office.
Chapter Presidents – please review the Online Roster User Guide before logging on. The roster system is meant to serve as a resource. Please do not personally add or remove members. If you need a member added or removed, please complete the Roster Removal / Addition form listed above.
Accommodations are available in the Norris Hall Guest Suite for visiting Fraternity and Sorority Life chapter consultants and speakers who are conducting official chapter business on the Clemson University campus. Priority will be given for on-campus chapters.Anyone requesting a reservation must be pre-approved by the Fraternity and Sorority Life Office, 864-656-7578
The Norris Hall Guest Suite is a two-room suite with bedroom and living room. It is furnished with a queen-sized bed, private bath, sofa, desk, television, refrigerator, microwave, ironing board and iron. Internet and local phone service is available. Linens are also provided. When a guest is staying three or more nights, they may request fresh linens from the Residential Facilities staff. Please call 864-656-5450 for assistance with your linens. Coined laundry facilities are located in the basement of Norris Hall for personal use. Pets and smoking are prohibited.
Rates and Payment
The guest suite is reserved on a daily basis, subject to availability. Guest housing is not available during University scheduled breaks or over the summer months. The daily rate is $25 plus an 11 percent accommodations tax. All payments must be received at the Student Affairs Business Office, 800 University Union, within three working days prior to the arrival date. Payment should be made by check (payable to Clemson University) or by credit card (VISA, MasterCard, Discover or American Express). Credit card payments may be phoned in to LeAnne Duckett at 864-656-7672 in advance.
Guests should check-in at the Norris Hall front desk between the hours of 3-8p.m. Monday-Friday. For weekend arrival, special arrangements will be made in advance by the Residential Life Housing staff and the incoming guest. Guests must return all keys and access cards to the Norris Hall front desk no later than 12:00pm on the day of their departure. If departure occurs on the weekend, the room key and access cards should be left in the room. If the room keys and/or access fobs are not returned or are lost, the visiting guest, or the responsible chapter, will be charged a $50 recore charge.
If you need to cancel your reservation, please notify Brianna Lombardozzi, firstname.lastname@example.org, within five working days of your scheduled arrival date. After the five working days, you may request to cancel your reservation at a cost equal to one night’s stay. Failure to show will also result in a charge equal to one night’s stay. Taxes may apply.
