Office of Community and Ethical Standards

The Office of Community and Ethical Standards administers Clemson's student discipline program. The staff investigates reported violations of student regulations, arranges for cases to be adjudicated, and maintains confidential student discipline records. In order to provide students with an environment that is conducive to learning, the University establishes behavioral expectations while encouraging free inquiry and expression that is essential to the development of responsible adults.

The Office of Community and Ethical Standards (OCES) promotes an environment that encourages students to uphold Clemson University’s core values and community standards, empowers students to act responsibly as members of a diverse global community and engages students in lifelong learning skills.

Dean Certification

Many colleges, universities and professional schools require students to complete a Dean’s Certification Form to be considered for admission into their institutions. Clemson University’s Office of Community and Ethical Standards and the Registrar’s Office are responsible for completing those forms.
