I have been a lecturer in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at Clemson University since August of 2007, and I also serve as Undergraduate Career Advisor for the department. As a graduate of the sociology program at Clemson, it is a privilege to now have the opportunity to teach at my old alma mater. In addition to teaching, I am also a licensed social worker in the state of South Carolina, as well as a certified dementia specialist. Prior to coming to Clemson, I worked for several years in the field of hospice social work, which led to my current interest in aging and end-of-life issues. I currently teach both social services and introductory sociology courses within the department, and I advise undergraduate sociology majors. I live in Six Mile with my husband David and our daughters, Elene and Annabelle. We enjoy hiking, traveling, supporting the local arts community, and cheering on the Atlanta Braves.
