The Glenn Department of Civil Engineering offers course work in the major fields of civil engineering and graduates about 150 students a year with the BSCE degree and about 50 masters and PhD students. Students interested in studying civil engineering at Clemson University will first be admitted into the General Engineering Program. Upon completion of the General Engineering year requirements, students can then change their major to Civil Engineering. Upon entering the civil engineering program, a faculty advisor will be assigned to each student.
The department is home to the ASCE, ITE, CEDC and SEA Student Chapters. Both ASCE and ITE student teams have won numerous regional and national championships.
