Strategic Goals

Goal #1. Conduct empirical research that examines and explores academic, social, economic, and historical issues that impact African Americans in South Carolina and throughout the United States.

Goal #2. Pursue funding to conduct research and implement programs that are aligned with the vision and mission of the Center.

Goal #3. Develop, implement, and evaluate research-based programs that are consistent with the mission and priorities of the Center.

Goal #4. Support the recruitment of students at Clemson University and other educational institutions.

Goal #5. Support the academic and social integration of students at Clemson University and other educational institutions.

Goal #6. Support the recruitment, retention, and professional development of faculty at Clemson University and other educational institutions.

Goal #7. Collaborate with schools, school districts, and postsecondary institutions.

Goal #8. Collaborate with local, regional, national, and international organizations, as well as governmental agencies, policymakers, and legislators.

Goal #9. Examine diversity and community issues at Clemson University and other educational institutions.

Goal #10. Disseminate information highlighting the Center’s research, programs, and activities.
