Q:

I’m a new employee but haven’t received a health insurance card in the mail yet.  I have a doctor’s appointment scheduled soon.  What should I do?



A:

It takes approximately 10 business days to receive your insurance card. Once your paperwork has been submitted to the Employee Insurance Program office, you may obtain your benefits identification number (BIN) through MyBenefits.  Your physician’s office will need this number to submit claims for processing.
