International Student Work Calendar

International student employees are limited to a maximum of 20 work hours per week when Clemson University is in session and to a maximum of 28 work hours per week during official Clemson University vacations. Please refer to the lists below for exact work periods and University vacations.

2026 - 2027 Calendar

2026 Work Periods

While Clemson University is in session, international students are restricted to no more than 20 hours of work per week. In-session work periods are shown below:

  • January 7 - January 18
  • January 20 - March 15
  • March 21 - May 1
  • August 19 - September 6
  • September 8 - October 11
  • October 14 - November 2
  • November 4 - November 24
  • November 28 - December 11

2026 Vacation Periods

While Clemson University is on vacation, international students are restricted to no more than 28 hours of work per week. On vacation work periods are shown below:

  • January 1 - January 6 (Winter Break/New Year's Day)
  • January 19 (Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday)
  • March 16 - March 20 (Spring Break)
  • May 2 - August 18 (Summer Break)
  • September 7 (Labor Day)
  • October 12 - October 13 (Fall Break)
  • November 3 (Election Day)
  • November 25 - 27 (Thanksgiving)
  • December 12 - December 31 (Winter Break)
