2018 Fall Family Weekend

Clemson University Fall Family Weekend is an annual tradition!

We hope you are planning to join us for 2018 Fall Family Weekend on September 14-16. This weekend combines a variety of social and educational opportunities throughout campus. Some of the things you will see at Family Weekend are tailgating before the Clemson Tigers vs. Georgia Southern University Eagles football game, open houses, drop-ins, educational sessions, full family photo ops and much, much more. This weekend has something for everyone!

General Info

Fall Family Weekend has two separate registration processes.

  • If you are planning to attend the football game, you may purchase tickets directly through Clemson Athletics or through an authorized vendor such as Stub Hub. Single-game tickets go on sale through Athletics, beginning July 16. More information about purchasing tickets through Athletics is stated below, in the section "Clemson Tigers Football".

  • There will also be many events taking place on campus and the surrounding area throughout the weekend. If you are planning to visit Clemson campus for Fall Family Weekend, be sure and take a look at our schedule of events for Friday as you make your travel plans. There will be multiple events beginning mid-day on Friday, including events hosted by the academic colleges at 2:00 p.m. Events for the weekend will end by early afternoon on Sunday.

Q&A: Should you buy a football game ticket for your student? Students will receive information in their Clemson email regarding how to obtain their tickets to football games. Reminder - student tickets are for seats in a designated student section; they will not be able to sit with you. If you want your student to sit with you during the game, you will need to buy them a ticket. Some families choose to buy an extra ticket for their student; other families learn that their student would prefer to sit with their friends in the student section.

The shuttle bus makes one trip only to and from campus on Saturday.

  • The bus will depart/return to the Hampton Inn and Suites Greenville-Downtown-RiverPlace, one of the designated Family Weekend hotels.

  • The bus will leave campus approximately 60 minutes after the game.

  • The fee is $25, per person, for this shuttle.

  • DOES MY STUDENT NEED A TICKET? Yes. Each person attending a Family Weekend ticketed event, including your Clemson student, will need a ticket.

  • WHAT IF I HAVE SPECIFIC DIETARY NEEDS? When you register for Family Weekend events, there will be a section where you can indicate any dietary needs. The menus will be posted for each event featuring food so you may review them before you purchase a ticket.
