2016 Spring Family Reunion

Spring Family Reunion is April 7-9, 2017

The annual Spring Family Reunion is a new tradition at Clemson and offers great opportunities for families to spend quality time with their students. Clemson is beautiful in the spring and we want to show it off to you! This weekend, April 7-9, is filled with on-campus activities, Clemson Tigers baseball, entertainment, and the yearly Spring Football Game. Spring Family Reunion is a relaxing, family friendly weekend! Stay tuned for more info; we will post specific details for the scheduled events as they become available. More events and activities will be added in the coming weeks. NOTE: All events are subject to change.


Highlighted Spring Family Reunion Schedule of Events

  • Clemson Tigers Baseball *Tickets Required

    Doug Kingsmore Stadium, 6:30 p.m. Cheer on the Tigers as they host the Virginia Tech Hokies. Students may enter for free with a valid TigerOne card. Tickets are required for other attendees; price is $5.00 each.

  • Hunter Hayes in concert *Tickets Required

    Littlejohn Coliseum, 8 p.m. Presented by Tigerpaw Productions. Enjoy a night of music with country music star, Hunter Hayes, right here on campus! Tickets can be purchased on Ticketmaster.

  • Barnes Center Game On Game Night

    Barnes Center, 11 p.m. - 1 a.m. Admission is free. Stop by the newly renovated Barnes Center, an historic building on campus dating back to 1904, and spend the evening playing games. There will be board games, card games and video games to play throughout the night.

  • Brunch with the Vice President of Student Affairs *Tickets Required
    The Great Hall at Honors Residential College, Core Campus, 9:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m., $15.00 per person. Enjoy a delicious brunch, have the opportunity to engage in fellowship with other families and hear from the Vice President of Student Affairs about the big plans in the Clemson Student Affairs world. We will discuss many topics including upcoming building projects, the ClemsonFORWARD plans, events for the future and much more. You will also have the opportunity to meet and greet with some other key players in Student Affairs.

  • Clemson Outdoor Recreation Education (CORE) Kayaking Trip *Tickets Required
    Snow Family Outdoor Fitness and Wellness Center, 275 YMCA Circle, Seneca SC 29678, 9:30 a.m., $25.00 per person. Come out for a casual morning of family fun kayaking on Lake Hartwell at one of the best spots on campus! NOTE: This trip has limited space available; tickets are sold on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • Clemson Family Spring Fling
    Shaw Family Lot (Upper Intramural Field/Lot 2), 11:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Admission is free and event is open for all Clemson families to attend. The Clemson Family Spring Fling is a new reunion event created by the Clemson Alumni Association to provide an opportunity for alumni who participated in Greek organizations, student organizations, organized intramural teams, sports teams and other student activities to gather with their former groups. Guests are invited to enjoy the tailgate, including live entertainment and food trucks (food available for purchase), prior to the Spring Football Game kickoff! Find out which groups will be participating and get more exciting details at the Clemson Alumni website.

  • 3rd Annual Walk for Veterans *Tickets Required
    Begins at President's House, 10 a.m., ticket prices TBA. Tickets will be purchased through a ticketing site online, not this website. Details soon! The purpose of Walk for Veterans is to promote Clemson's rich military heritage and provide funding to the new Clemson Student Veteran Association Endowment. The walk begins at President Clements' house and continues to the Scroll of Honor (.88 miles). The walk is accessible to anyone, including babies in strollers and veterans in wheelchairs. All are encouraged to participate in honor and support of our military and veterans. Participants are welcome to a tailgate following the walk with music, food, games, speeches and more! Will conclude in time for the Spring Football Game kickoff.

  • Spring Football Game

    Memorial Stadium, 2:30 p.m. Admission is free. Get an early look at Tigers football in this annual scrimmage game.

  • Clemson Tigers Baseball *Tickets Required

    Doug Kingsmore Stadium, 5:30 p.m. Cheer on the Tigers as they host the Virginia Tech Hokies. Students may enter for free with a valid TigerOne card. Tickets are required for other attendees; price is $15.00.

  • Uptown Art Canvas Painting Class *Tickets Required
    Uptown Art, 111 Earle Street, Suite D, Clemson, SC, 7:00 p.m., $25.00 per person. At Uptown Art, you will be provided with hands-on instruction, paint supplies, canvases and aprons - everything you need to create your own masterpiece and have a great time. NOTE: This event has limited space available; tickets are sold on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • 5th Annual Student Drag Show
    Memorial Auditorium in Tillman Hall, 8:00 p.m. Admission is free. Join the Clemson community in celebrating diversity with both professional and amateur performers at the annual Student Drag show sponsored by CLEMSONLiVE and the Harvey and Lucinda Gantt Multicultural Center.

  • Barnes Center Throwdown, Country Night
    Barnes Center, 10 p.m. - midnight. Admission is free. A fun night is planned for you at the newly renovated Barnes Center, an historic building on campus dating back to 1904. Join others at the Barnes Center for a barefoot blue jeans night. There will be music, dancing and more. Come out for a heel-clicking good time!

  • Clemson Tigers Baseball *Tickets Required

    Doug Kingsmore Stadium, 1:00 p.m. Cheer on the Tigers as they play the Virginia Tech Hokies. Students may enter for free with a valid TigerOne card. Tickets are required for other attendees; price is $5.00 each.

  • POPS Concert *Tickets Required
    Lawn of Patrick Square, 160 Thomas Green Blvd, Clemson, SC 29631. Plan for a lovely evening outside with great music. Learn more and purchase tickets at the Brooks Center for the Performing Arts website.  Tickets are $25 and $10.

Things to Know

  • Online registration is open now and will remain open through 5:00 p.m. EDT on Friday, March 31. Click the orange button on this page to get started!

  • During registration, be sure and purchase one of the Spring Family Reunion t-shirts; price is $15.00. They are only available for purchase during this event!

  • Refunds may be requested prior to noon EDT on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 by calling 864-656-0515. There will be no refunds provided for any purchase made after 12:00 p.m. on March 29, 2017.

  • Weather info: Spring Family Reunion will take place except in the most severe weather conditions. In the event of rain, all activities will take place as scheduled, possibly in alternate locations. However, in the event of severe weather such as lightning, the Office of New Student and Family Programs, together with Clemson University and the Athletic Department, may elect to delay or cancel any part of Spring Family Reunion at any time. Due to the nature of event planning and coordination, we will not provide any refunds, in full or in part, to any participant due to weather.
