2016 Spring Family Reunion

Spring Family Reunion is April 13-15, 2018

The annual Spring Family Reunion is a tradition at Clemson and offers great opportunities for families to spend quality time with their students. Clemson is beautiful in the spring and we want to show it off to you! This weekend, April 13-15, is filled with on-campus activities, Clemson Tigers baseball, entertainment, and the yearly Spring Football Game. Spring Family Reunion is a relaxing, family friendly weekend!


There will be a variety of free events offered elsewhere on campus. NOTE: All events are subject to change.

Highlighted Spring Family Reunion Schedule of Events

  • Fort Hill - John C. Calhoun Mansion and Library - tour open hours
    Clemson campus, 10:00 a.m. - noon and 1:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.

  • South Carolina Botanical Garden, including the Bob Campbell Geology Museum and the Fran Hanson Visitor's Center
    Clemson campus, 10 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

  • Underground Recreation Center Family Bowling
    Underground Recreation Center, University Union, 4:00 p.m. - midnight. Free event if you show a printed Spring Family Reunion schedule.

  • Volleyball - Clemson Tigers vs. Georgia State Panthers
    Jervey Gym, 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

  • Clemson Outdoor Recreation Education (CORE) Lake Activities **Tickets Required
    Snow Family Outdoor Fitness and Wellness Center, 5:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Activities include kayaking, canoeing, paddle-boarding and s'mores by the bonfire. Tickets are $25 per person.

  • Clemson Tigers Baseball *Tickets Required
    Doug Kingsmore Stadium, 6:30 p.m. Cheer on the Tigers as they host a conference game with the Miami Hurricanes. Students may enter for free with a valid TigerOne card. Tickets are required for other attendees; ticket price is $20.00 each.

  • Movie hosted by CLEMSONLiVE
    Barnes Center, 8:00 p.m. Admission is free. Enjoy a movie night watching The Incredibles.

  • Clemson Rowing Invitational
    Lake Hartwell, Clemson, all-day event.  No admission fee.

  • Clemson Botanical Garden Plant Sale
    South Carolina Botanical Garden Nursery, sale begins at 9:00 a.m. Open to the public.

  • Fort Hill - John C. Calhoun Mansion and Library - tour open hours

  • Clemson Family Spring Fling
    Shaw Family Lot (Upper Intramural Field/Lot 2), 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Admission is free and event is open for all Clemson families to attend. The Clemson Family Spring Fling is a reunion event created by the Clemson Alumni Association to provide an opportunity for alumni who participated in Greek organizations, student organizations, organized intramural teams, sports teams and other student activities to gather with their former groups. Guests are invited to enjoy the tailgate, including live entertainment and food trucks (food available for purchase), prior to the Spring Football Game kickoff!   • Women's Soccer - Clemson Tigers vs. College of Charleston Cougars *Tickets Required
    Soccer Practice Fields, 11:00 a.m.

  • Women's Soccer - Clemson Tigers vs. Georgia State Panthers *Tickets Required
    Soccer Practice Fields, 2:15 p.m.

  • Spring Football Game
    Memorial Stadium, 2:30 p.m. Admission is free. Get an early look at Tigers football in this annual scrimmage game.

  • Underground Recreation Center Family Bowling

  • Uptown Art Canvas Painting Class *Tickets Required
    Uptown Art, 111 Earle Street, Suite D, Clemson, SC, 7:00 p.m., $25.00 per person. At Uptown Art, you will be provided with hands-on instruction, paint supplies, canvases and aprons - everything you need to create your own masterpiece and have a great time. NOTE: This event has limited space available; tickets are sold on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Clemson University Paw Pantry is an on-campus food pantry and resource center available to Clemson University students free of charge, no questions asked. The Pantry is a student-sustained initiative that is facilitated by a student board and student volunteers. For more information visit the Paw Pantry website or their Facebook page.


If you are able to donate, here is a list of the most-needed items. Please make sure that all donated food items are non-perishable and do not have expiration dates within the next six months. We also ask that items be donated in reusable bags or boxes as those can be repurposed for student use or to assist with storage.

  • toothpaste, toothbrushes and mouthwash

  • laundry detergent and dish soap

  • body wash and deodorant

  • shampoo and conditioner

  • paper towels and toilet paper

  • cooking oil

  • tea

  • nuts, such as almonds

  • gluten-free items

Parking Info

General rules for visitor parking during Spring Family Reunion weekend:

  • Friday after 4:30 p.m. and all-day Saturday and Sunday: Most spaces on campus are available to you on a first-come, first served basis. There are exceptions. Spaces labeled "24 HR/Hour" or "Restricted" are exceptions; if you park in one of these spaces, you may get a ticket. Reminder - if you park in a metered spot during hours of operation, you must pay the meter. ADA-accessible spots are available across campus with the proper documentation.

Things to Know

  • Merchandise: During registration, be sure and purchase one of the Spring Family Reunion t-shirts; price is $15.00. They are only available for purchase during this event! Also take a look at the Parent Fan Pack which includes great Clemson accessories; price is $30. Deadline to order a t-shirt is 12:00 p.m. EST (noon) Friday, March 30.

  • Refunds: Refunds may be requested prior to 4:30 p.m. EST on Monday, April 2, 2018 by calling 864-656-0515. There will be no refunds provided for any purchase made after 4:30 p.m. on April 2, 2018.

  • Weather info: Spring Family Reunion will take place except in the most severe weather conditions. In the event of rain, all activities will take place as scheduled, possibly in alternate locations. However, in the event of severe weather such as lightning, the Office of Student Transitions and Family Programs, together with Clemson University and the Athletic Department, may elect to delay or cancel any part of Spring Family Reunion at any time. Due to the nature of event planning and coordination, we will not provide any refunds, in full or in part, to any participant due to weather.

  • Pre-arrival email: All registrants for any event will receive an email from our office before the event with detailed weekend information.
