If you will be using a manual or power wheelchair and/or any other mobility assistance device during your visit, please know that you may encounter stairs along the campus tour. Your tour guide will provide instructions for the nearest accessible route when stairs are encountered so that you can rejoin the group as quickly as possible. If you are comfortable identifying your needs, please note this in the comments section of your online registration. It is helpful if your tour guide knows this information in advance to ensure she/he is aware of all accessible routes along the tour.
If you will need the Visitors Center to provide a wheelchair or mobility scooter to use for the duration of the campus tour, please let staff know this in the comments of your online registration.
ADA Parking and Transportation
Campus visitors with state-issued DMV parking tags will find an ADA accessible parking spot in the front of the Visitors Center. Please also note the ramp and accessible entrance is located at the front of the Visitors Center. If you choose to park in the Clemson Presbyterian Church parking lot, you will find that most of the Tiger Transit Shuttles are ADA accessible and will drop you off at the Visitors Center. If you need an ADA accessible Tiger Transit shuttle, please let the Visitors Center staff know in order to ensure the appropriate shuttle is running on the day of your visit.
Visitors who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
If you are a visitor who is Deaf or hard of hearing and need a sign language interpreter for the duration of your campus tour, please contact Student Accessibility Services by calling 864-656-6848 or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. The Office of Student Accessibility Services works with the Visitors Center to coordinate interpreters. An advance notice of two weeks is needed to ensure that staff in the Visitors Center and Student Accessibility Services are able to schedule an interpreter for the date and time of your tour.
