Parking Changes for Campus Visitors

Summer Hours

During May 2016, the Visitors Center shuttle will be running from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday. If you are taking the 11 a.m. campus tour, please plan to arrive at the shuttle stop 30-45 minutes before your scheduled tour. Refer to the information below for details and directions.

Visitors Center Shuttle Details
Beginning January 2016, weekday visitors will park at Clemson Presbyterian Church and ride a shuttle bus to the Visitors Center due to construction activity on campus. Click here to view and download directions to Clemson Presbyterian Church. During the school year Tiger Transit, the University’s shuttle service, will begin running 90 minutes prior to the first tour of the day and continue until 5 p.m. Please arrive at the church parking lot 30-45 minutes before your scheduled tour. A short shuttle ride will bring you to the Visitors Center where your Clemson tour begins.
When you’re ready to return to your vehicle, hop back on Tiger Transit (look for the bus marquee “Visitors Center Route”) at one of three stops:

Weekend visitors will park in metered spaces at the Visitors Center or in designated areas across campus. Details here.

Via Interstate

Clemson is about 2.5 hours from Charlotte, N.C., 1 hour from Greenville, S.C., and 2.5 hours from Atlanta.

From Atlanta, Ga. (about 128 miles)
Take Interstate-85 North toward Charlotte, N.C. Take exit 19B to U.S. 76/S.C. 28 West to Clemson.

From Charlotte, N.C. (about 135 miles)
Take I-85 South toward Atlanta. Take exit 19B to U.S. 76/S.C. 28 West to Clemson.

From Columbia, S.C. (about 137 miles)
Take I-126 West to I-26 West toward Spartanburg, S.C. Exit onto I-385 West to Greenville, S.C. Exit onto I-85 South toward Atlanta. Then take exit 19B to U.S. 76/S.C. 28 West to Clemson.

From Jacksonville, Fla. (about 425 miles)
Take I-95 North toward Fayetteville, N.C. Exit onto I-26 West toward Spartanburg, S.C. Exit onto I-385 West toward Greenville, S.C. Then exit onto I-85 South toward Atlanta. Finally, take exit 19B to U.S. 76/S.C. 28 West to Clemson.

From Asheville, N.C. (about 93 miles)
Take I-240 West to I-40 East/I-26 East, then continue onto I-26 East toward Hendersonville, N.C./Spartanburg, S.C. Next, exit onto U.S. 25 South toward Greenville. Then exit onto U.S. 123 West toward Easley. Follow U.S. 123 West into Clemson.

Planes and Trains

The international airport at Greenville/Spartanburg is 45 minutes (45 miles) from Clemson. This airport is serviced by Allegiant Air, American Airlines, Delta, Southwest, United and US Airways. The airports in Atlanta and Charlotte are each about a two-hour drive from the University. Clemson is easily accessible off Interstate 85 (10-minute drive). An Amtrak station is also located in Clemson with daily scheduled service.


Directions to the Class of 1944 Visitors Center

Due to campus construction, weekday visitors must park at Clemson Presbyterian Church.

From I-85 Exit 19, U.S. 76/S.C. 28
Follow U.S. 76/S.C. 28 West for about 12 miles (through seven traffic lights), and take the exit for S.C. 93 South. At the top of the ramp, turn left at the light onto S.C. 93. Go about 1 mile, and turn right onto Sherman Street. At the stop sign, turn right onto Daniel Drive. At the top of the hill, turn right onto North Palmetto Boulevard and the Visitors Center will be on your right at the bottom of the cul-de-sac.

To Littlejohn Coliseum (Graduation and Basketball)

From I-85 Exit 19, U.S. 76/S.C. 28
Follow U.S. 76/S.C. 28 West for approximately 12 miles (through seven traffic lights), and take the exit for S.C. 93 South. At the top of the ramp, turn left at the light onto S.C. 93. Once on S.C. 93, travel about 1.5 miles to the sixth traffic light. Take a left onto Perimeter Road. Follow signs for Coliseum Parking.

To Memorial Stadium (Football)

From I-85 Exit 19, U.S. 76/S.C. 28
Follow U.S. 76/S.C. 28 West for approximately 12 miles (through seven traffic lights), and take the exit for S.C. 93 South. At the top of the ramp, turn left at the light onto S.C. 93. Once on S.C. 93, follow signs to stadium.

To Doug Kingsmore Stadium (Baseball)

From I-85 Exit 19, U.S. 76/S.C. 28
Follow U.S. 76/S.C. 28 West for approximately 12 miles (through seven traffic lights), and take the exit for S.C. 93 South. At the top of the ramp, turn left at the light onto S.C. 93. Once on S.C. 93, travel about 1.5 miles to the sixth traffic light. Take a left onto Perimeter Road. Doug Kingsmore Stadium is located behind Jervey Athletic Center on the right.
