Campus Tours

Weekday Tours

This is your chance to ask a Clemson student just what this University, campus and classes are really like. Your student tour guide will give you an overview of the University's history as well as the ins and outs of campus life today. Each campus tour begins with a short information session led by one of our Admissions officers. Please make sure you register for the tour.

Campus Tour Details

  • Please refer to our Directions page as you plan your trip to Clemson.
  • Tours last an hour and a half.
  • Wear comfortable shoes. It matters.
  • Be early! Try to arrive 30-45 minutes before your tour starts.
  • Throw a couple bucks in your pocket in case you get thirsty/hungry on the tour. You will pass several vending machines.
  • Our weekday tours begin with a short admissions session.
  • If you have special needs that should be met while on campus, contact the Visitors Center at 864-656-4789 ahead of time to make arrangements.
  • Additionally, if you would like to meet with a specific department or interest group, please request additional information in the comments of your online registration. For information concerning specific College visits, please see the "Add Ons" section below.

Some departments and programs on campus offer additional tours for prospective students. Please contact each individually to set up a time to visit.

Weekend Tours

We offer campus tours on select Saturdays throughout the school year. Please confirm with our tour calendar before you schedule your trip. And please make sure you register for the tour.

Campus Tour Details

  • While limited Saturday tours are available, we highly recommend visiting campus on a weekday. Visits scheduled Monday-Friday allow for an extensive view of campus, including the opportunity to arrange specific appointments and to attend drop-in office hours with select campus departments, which are not available during weekend visits.
  • Weekend campus tours are available, dates/times listed during the "Register for a tour" process.
  • Tours last an hour and a half.
  • Wear comfortable shoes. It matters.

  • Campus construction has closed several roads around the Visitors Center. Please refer to our Directions page as you plan your trip to campus.
  • Parking meters are available to our guests at the Visitors Center and areas across campus. Details here.
  • If you have special needs that should be met while on campus, contact the Visitors Center ahead of time to make arrangements.
  • No tours are available and the Class of 1944 Visitors Center is closed on Saturdays of home football games.

Weekend Visitors Center Hours

The Clemson Visitors Center is open from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on select Saturdays throughout the year.

Group Tours

If you have a high-school-aged group of 10 or more who would like to tour campus, please contact Tracey O’Kelley at tokelle@clemson.edu or 864-656-7697 to arrange your visit. Please read our group tour guidelines before calling to schedule your tour.

Campus Tour App

If you can't make one of our tours, we would love for you to try out our new campus tour app, available on the Web. No download required. This tour follows the same path as our student-led tours but is condensed into the palm of your hand. Check it out at clemson.edu/campus-map/tour.

Special Events

Student Information Sessions

Clemson’s affordability and top-ranked academics consistently attract students from all across the nation. Join us for an information session hosted by Clemson, the College of Charleston and the University of South Carolina. At each, you’ll find out more about our admissions requirements, scholarship and financial aid information, scholar programs and more.

Experience Clemson

This open house event for accepted underrepresented minority students is by invitation only. Experience Clemson allows you to discover all the opportunities and resources available to you as a Clemson student. You will be able to meet with faculty and staff, and chat with current students about what it's really like to live and learn here. Experience Clemson 2019 will be held on Saturday, March 9. Registration will open in late February.

El Camino a Clemson University

Clemson University, in collaboration with Admissions and various Latin-based organizations, will invite Hispanic/Latinx students and families from local and regional high schools to spend a day at Clemson University and discuss the importance of education. Participants will have the opportunity to engage with current Clemson students, faculty, and staff while learning about the transition from high school to college.
