Campus Tours

Daily Tours

This is your chance to ask a Clemson student just what this University, campus and classes are really like. Your student tour guide will give you an overview of the University’s history as well as the ins and outs of campus life today. Each campus tour begins with a short information session led by one of our Admissions officers. Please make sure you register for the tour.

Campus Tour Details

  • Campus Tours available daily, date/times listed during the "Register for a tour" process.
  • Tours last an hour and a half.
  • Wear comfortable shoes. It matters.
  • Be early! Try to arrive 10-15 minutes before your tour starts.
  • Throw a couple bucks in your pocket in case you get thirsty/hungry on the tour. You will pass several vending machines.
  • Campus construction has closed several roads around the Visitors Center. Please refer to our Directions page as you plan your trip to campus.
  • Parking meters are available to our guests at the Visitors Center and areas across campus. Details here.
  • Our weekday tours begin with a short admissions session.
  • If you have special needs that should be met while on campus, contact the Visitors Center ahead of time to make arrangements.

Some departments and programs on campus offer additional tours for prospective students. Please contact each individually to set up a time to visit.

Weekend Tours

Typically, we offer two Saturday and one Sunday tour during the school year. Saturday tours are not held on football game days in the fall, and there is no information session before the tour. This schedule is subject to change. Please make sure you register for the tour.

Weekend Visitors Center Hours

The Clemson Visitors Center is open from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday year-round. During the fall and spring semesters, we are open from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. on Sundays.

Group Tours

If you have a high-school-aged group of 10 or more who would like to tour campus, please contact Tracey O’Kelley at tokelle@clemson.edu or 864-656-4789 to arrange your visit.

Virtual Tour

We have a self-guided tour that you can take any time. Either download the app from iTunes, or check out an iTouch from the Visitors Center.

Special Events

Fall For Clemson

Come experience Clemson alongside hundreds of prospective students just like you. On two Fridays each fall, we offer campus tours, admissions and financial aid sessions, an information fair and departmental open houses among other activities.

Spring Blitz

The biggest admissions event we host all year, Spring Blitz attracts thousands of prospective students seeking answers to their most important questions. Meet face-to-face with admissions and financial aid personnel in daily information sessions. Go to our majors fair where you can meet with college staff and find out what each of our degree programs is all about. All this, plus our standard campus tours and program-specific tours make Spring Blitz a must.

Accepted Student Receptions

These informative and celebratory receptions for accepted students are becoming a time-honored tradition. Future Tigers can learn more about the University, meet key personnel, and get tips and advice for a smooth transition to college. Best of all, they are a great chance to meet some of your future classmates.

Tigertown Bound Receptions

These in-state receptions are typically held in March and April each year. Accepted students should look for an invitation after acceptance letters have been mailed out.

Parents Council Receptions

These out-of-state receptions are typically held in March and April each year. Accepted students should look for an invitation after acceptance letters have been mailed out.

Discover Clemson

This special campus visitation day is by invitation only. Held in late spring for high school juniors, Discover Clemson is all about the Clemson Experience. Prospective students can talk to current students about Clemson’s great educational offerings and the unparalleled college experience they enjoy here. Go home with a sense of what it feels like to be a Tiger — and get a free T-shirt for the road!

Football Saturday for Applied Students

Saturdays are not just for football at Clemson! Have admissions questions? There will be four home games where an admissions counselor will be available to speak with students and parents two hours before kick-off time. After you apply, check for an email from us about discounted football tickets and these informal admissions session. Then stop by the front of Sikes Hall to say hello, ask questions, and get to know an admissions counselor.

Senior Information Sessions

Clemson’s affordability and top-ranked academics consistently attract students from all across the nation. Join us for an information session hosted by Clemson, the College of Charleston and the University of South Carolina. At each, you’ll find out more about our admissions requirements, scholarship and financial aid information, scholar programs and more. Each session begins at 7 p.m.
