WELCOME!

John - Continuing Education
First Year Experience Speaker

  • focus on all freshman dorms
  • a welcoming to Clemson
  • since they are here to be a student, we also focus on community
  • lets freshmen know what resources are available (i.e. tutoring, organizations, speakers, etc.)
  • helps to make connections
  • RAs have to run 4 social programs each year
  • uses events/resources already established at Clemson.  NOT creating something new for now.
  • not geared towards transfer students
Kate - VP of Recruitment
  • TELL YOUR FRIENDS about tour guides!
  • Applications are due October 3rd at the VC by 4:30pm
  • More specifics at the next meeting
  • E-mail Kate if you have any questions
  • Interviews will be the week of October 13-17
  • Currently brainstorming replacement for mock tour.  Possibly a second group interview?

Special tours for September / October

MacKenzie - President

  • Fun News! New shirts every year for All tour guides.  Currently deciding on the shirt for this year.  We will discuss at the next meeting! (It won't say CUGA, but you can wear it for tours/work!)
  • Remember, have an excited tour intro and welcome. Channel your inner Michael Garcia!  This is the first impression of Clemson, so make it GREAT!
  • VP of Advancement, Neill Cameron has invited us to his farm for a cookout and CUGA meeting.  This is SUCH an honor, and a FIRST TIME THING!  Date TBA, be looking for it!
  • Congrats to the new members of attendance board: Drew V., Katie B., Dani R., and Jeremy L.
