Are you planning a visit to Clemson? Take advantage of the student-led walking tours of campus! Tours begin and end at the Class of 1944 Visitors Center, located at 109 Daniel Drive, off of Highway 93 (open Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.). During your hour and a half tour of campus, your volunteer guide will give you an overview of the history of the University as well as the ins and outs of campus life today.
Guided Campus Tour Schedule
Monday-Saturday 9:45 a.m. and 1:45 p.m.
Sunday 1:45 p.m. (during fall and spring semesters)
During the spring we will be offering 4:00 p.m. tours on weekdays of select weeks. Those tours will be offered Monday through Friday only, starting Monday, March 24th and running through Friday, April 11th. These tours are by appointment only. Please sign up for the 1:45 p.m. tour on your chosen date, and then in the comments section indicate that you would prefer the 4:00 p.m. tour. Your confirmation will indicate your time preference.
Special tours and campus visits for groups larger than 10 are arranged upon request. We offer group guided tours of the campus for high school groups and above. These group tours are only available on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Call (864) 656-4789 or send an email for more information.
There are exceptions for tours, due to academic and event schedules. It is always best to call ahead to confirm tour schedules. Exceptions include:
- Home Football Games: No tours will be given on home football game days.
- December: regular tours scheduled through exams. Tours will not be offered again until students return in January.
- The University is closed, and no tours are offered on Martin Luther King Day.
- Spring Break: No tours will be offered March 15th through March 23rd, 2008.
- We will only offer 9:45am tours Monday through Saturday in May.
- We will be closed on Sundays during the summer months.
A few helpful tips before you take your campus tour:
- Arrive 10 to 15 minutes before your tour is scheduled to begin.
- Wear comfortable shoes.
- Visitor parking is available at the Visitors Center. You’ll need to get a visitor’s pass for your car from the welcome desk inside the center.
- You’ll pass several vending machines on your tour if you get thirsty or hungry. If you want to stay for a meal after your tour, Clemson Dining Services would be happy to serve you! All dining halls take cash and credit.
- If you have special needs to be met while on campus, you may contact the Visitors Center directly to make arrangements.
