The CVA is a dynamic intellectual and physical environment where art is created, exhibited and interpreted. It educates through academic research and practice with art at its core, drawing upon varied disciplines to examine critically cultural issues and artistic concerns.
The Art department partners with other departments on campus to commission the Art Partnership. Since its initiation 8 significant works have been installed around campus with content pertinent to the works location.
The Lee Gallery provides the university and surrounding community with access to regional, national and international artists through a variety of exhibitions and special events. These exhibitions examine contemporary issues that underscore academic programs and serve the broader mission of the university. The gallery also showcases the work of undergraduate and graduate art.

From Visitors Center to Lee Gallery (total trip is around a mile)
The Acorn Gallery received its official designation in the spring of 2012, although it had been in operation for years before its official naming. Named after the creator of the gallery, professor emeritus and former art chair John Acorn, the gallery houses student shows and auxiliary exhibits and events. It is located on the ground level of Lee Hall.
The Art department is involved in the nature-based sculpture program at the S.C. Botanical Garden which is on the Clemson campus. Grants fund the installation of nature-based work throughout the gardens.
The Fine Art Student Association is a student run organization that strives to increase awareness and appreciation of art on campus. Past FASA events include parties, trips, fundraising events and art sales. Membership is open to all Clemson students.
