Grant Description
The North American Strawberry Association (NASGA) Sponsored Research seeks to improve strawberry production sustainability and to promote marketing. Proposals will be evaluated by members of the NASGA research committee and will include both growers and researchers. Past successful projects have included, for example, investigating new herbicides, pest management, and improved renovation methods.
The NASGA Research Foundation provides the majority of the funds for the projects. In 2004, funded grants totalled $28,050. Since 1991, the average amount awarded per fiscal year has been $37,250.
