Research Experiences for Undergraduates

The Department of Materials Science & Engineering participates in NSF - funded Research Experiences for Undergraduate (REU) programs which offer undergraduate students from across the United States an opportunity to carry out summer internships.

The College of Optics at the University of Central Florida, in coordination with Clemson University, ran a National Science Foundation sponsored program of Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) during the summer of 2011. During this time, 2 students from this program carried out internships at COMSET within the Department of Materials Science & Engineering summer program series.
