Katie Giacalone is an Extension Associate, coordinator of the Carolina Clear program and the Director of the Clemson Center for Watershed Excellence. Katie's background includes monitoring, microbial source tracking, GIS, watershed restoration and protection plan development, shoreline restoration, stormwater outreach and program development, and building regional collaboration.

Amy Scaroni, Ph.D.

Amy Scaroni, Ph.D. is an Extension Associate and the Associate Coordinator of the Carolina Clear program.  Amy comes to Carolina Clear with a background in research, extension, and environmental education. She has experience in coastal natural resource management, watershed restoration, and a particular interest in engaging communities in managing local water quality. Calvin Sawyer, Ph.D. is an Extension Associate and the Associate Director of the Center for Watershed Excellence, as well as one of the original developers of the Carolina Clear program. Cal currently serves as the Extension Water Quality Coordinator and co-teaches the CEPSCI and CSPR Certification courses.

ANDERSON COUNTY

Rachel Herold is a Water Resources and Natural Resources Extension Agent and the coordinator for the Anderson County Stormwater Partners. Rachel comes to Carolina Clear with experience in outdoor and classroom science education, and enjoys working with all ages to promote a healthy environment. Kim Counts
 is the co-coordinator of the Ashley Cooper Stormwater Education Consortium and a Water Resources Agent for Charleston, Berkeley, Dorchester and Beaufort Counties. Kim brings to Carolina Clear her background in community outreach, environmental and outdoor education. Angela Crouch is a Clemson Extension Agent in the Charleston County office. She is the coordinator of Community Pride Inc., of Charleston County, a non-profit organization that promotes environmental stewardship and beautification. She is also the local Adopt-A-Highway coordinator and works with Carolina Clear to manage the storm drain marking program in the Ashley Cooper Stormwater Education Consortium

Guinn Garrett is Water Resources Extension Agent for Berkeley, Charleston, and Dorchester counties and co-coordinator of the Ashley Cooper Stormwater Education Consortium. Guinn comes to Carolina Clear with a background in environmental science, as well as her experience in stormwater management programming and water quality monitoring. is a Water Resources Agent for Florence and Darlington Counties and the coordinator of the Florence / Darlington Stormwater Consortium. Terasa brings to Carolina Clear her background in science education in both formal and informal settings and her passion for promoting stewardship of our natural resources. Cathy Reas Foster is the coordinator of the Pickens County Stormwater Partners. Cathy brings to Carolina Clear her background in hydrogeology and environmental consulting as well as her experiences as an outdoor and environmental educator.

SUMTER STORMWATER SOLUTIONS

Jolie Brown is the new Carolina Clear Agent for Sumter Stormwater Solutions. She will specifically be working to increase public involvement and education for the citizens of Sumter. Jolie joins us from NRCS where she previously was a Soil Conservationist and also spent three summers as a student trainee. She is a Clemson alumni with a degree in Agricultural Education and an emphasis in Leadership.

PROGRAMMATIC

Sara Pachota is a Consumer Horticulture Agent for the Clemson Extension Service. She has a background of landscape architecture and environmental studies and enjoys working with the interface that exists between the built and natural environment. Through the principles of the Carolina Yards program, she helps give South Carolinians the tools they need to have low environmental footprints and become stewards of our land and water. Sara also works with the South Carolina Master Gardener program.
