Consortium Programs
'Build a Rain Barrel' Workshop - November 17, 2009
** This workshop has SOLD OUT **
The Lexington Countywide Stormwater Consortium is sponsoring an educational workshop on how to build your own personal Rain Barrel on Tuesday November 17, 2009. During this workshop you will learn about stormwater and how pollutants move through our yards as the rains come off our roofs. DOWNLOAD workshop flyer.
Rain barrels serve two very important functions: #1 We are conserving precious municipal water, and #2 we are slowing down the movement of water coming off nonpervious surface during heavy rains that will ultimately pick up nonpoint source pollutants and carry them down hill towards creeks, rivers and lakes.
