4-H2O Water Quality Day Camps
4-H2O summer programs are water quality outdoor classroom experiences. Much more educational and challenging than an ordinary day camp, these programs will teach students about the value of water resources to wildlife, ecosystems, and people.

Attendance is limited to 20 students per session, and pre-registration is required by two weeks in advance of the start of the program. Registration is on a first-come, first served basis.

4-H2O Pontoon Classroom: Lake Murray
June 13-17, 2011

Youth Ages 10-12
Tutition: $100*

Come and explore the treasures of Lake Murray! Students will spend the week on and around Lake Murray, exploring the lake on pontoon boats, touring the Coast Guard station and water treatment plant, installing duck boxes, and conducting water quality tests. We will learn the history of Lake Murray, do watershed models, fish, swim, and get up close and personal with fish and other aquatic critters.
4-H2O Environmental Classroom: Water, Woods, and Wetlands

Youth Ages 11-14
Tutition: $100*
Older students, join us for a program where we take water quality education to the next level. Learn how rivers, streams, wetlands, and forests all work together for the animals, plants, and people that rely on them. We will canoe at Congaree Park, hike, catch critters in the stream, and study local history, biology, hydrology, and forestry.
This camp was created as a follow-up to 4-H2O Pontoon Classroom on Lake Murray. While you need not have completed that program to attend, Pontoon Classroom graduates are encouraged to join us.

4-H2O Pontoon Classroom Registration Packet (June 13-17, 2011)

To register for a 4-H2O Summer program:
- Print the registration packet (above) for the camp your child would like to attend.
- Complete and detach the registration slip from the first page. Save the rest of the page for your information. *Please include your email address to receive a confirmation letter, complete agenda and a list of what your child will need to bring.
- Complete and sign ALL pages of the registration packet. Be sure to indicate which camp you are registering for on the line that says "name of activity/event".
- Mail the registration slip, 4-H registration packet, and payment to the address below:

*Early Bird Tuition: Tuition is $100 if received before Monday May 30 for Pontoon Classroom or before Monday June 13 for Environmental Classrom. Tuition will be $120 for registrations received after these dates.
Cancellations: If cancelation is required, no refunds will be given if the cancellation is made later than May 30, 2011 for Pontoon Classroom, or later than June 13, 2011, for Environmental Classroom (two weeks prior to the first day of the program).
Repeat campers: Campers who have attended either 4-H2O program in the past are welcome to attend the same program for a second year. However, priority for registration will be given to new attendees, and please be aware most of the activities will be the same from year to year. Graduates of the Pontoon Classroom program are strongly encourage to attend Environmental Classroom. Graduates of Environmental Classroom are encouraged to contact us for volunteer helper opportunities.
