GSS Grants Coordinators Earn Grants Management Certificates

MAY 2007- Grant Support Services grants coordinators Brigette Foshee and Tracy Gambrell have recently received certification from Management Concepts for both Recipient and Pass-Through grants management.

The intensive Management Concepts curriculum involves two years of study. This additional certification for both GSS grants coordinators has added a significant level of expertise to our department.

The curriculum includes extensive instruction on specialized topics including subaward decisions and management, budget guidelines, Federal cost principles and administrative requirements, auditing, and many more. In addition, the course materials received are available as a resource for all GSS staff, as well as interested faculty members!

In addition to these certifications, the entire GSS staff will continue to attend update classes, seminars, and training as it becomes available.
