Spring Plant Sale
The South Carolina Botanical Garden will hold its spring plant sale on April 8-9. This annual sale features a large variety of perennials, hearty ferns, unusual trees and shrubs that are well suited for the local climate but may be difficult to find in retail nurseries.
A preview sale for “Friends of the Garden” members will be held Friday, April 8, from 2 to 6:30 p.m. Non-members may join at the gate. The sale opens to the public on Saturday, April 9, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Plant experts from the Garden staff, local gardening clubs and Master Gardeners will be available to answer gardening questions.
The Garden is located at the intersection of U.S. Highway 76 and Pearman Boulevard on the Clemson University campus. It encompasses 295 acres of gardens, streams and woodlands, and is open year-round from sunrise to sunset, free of charge.
