Walhalla 4-H Club Participates in National Veteran’s History Project

boy and American flag March 11 at James M. Brown Elementary School, seven members of the Walhalla 4-H Club “Project Spirit” interviewed five local veterans and captured their war stories on video.

Two of the veterans served in WWII, two in the Vietnam War and one in the Korean War. The video tapes will be sent to the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C. to be archived on the Veteran’s History Project Web page.

Anyone who wants to learn about the events that took place during various wars can learn about them first-hand by watching the interviews via streaming video. The project was sponsored by Learn and Serve America.
