Grow a business by taking the FastTrac

When Newberry entrepreneurs Greg and Aimee Talbot wanted to transition their antiques business from a retail store to Internet-based sales, they turned to Clemson’s Institute for Economic and Community Development.
Regional community development agent Will Culler recommended that the Talbots attend an upcoming FastTrac course at Midlands Technical College. FastTrac is a coalition of education and business groups to help entrepreneurs create, manage and grow a successful business.
“FastTrac really helped us work on implementing that new strategy,” said Aimee Talbot.
Their business, Eurolux Antiques, imports antique furniture from Europe. Since completing the course, 95 percent of the company’s sales now come via the Internet and revenues have more than doubled.
In March, Eurolux won the S.C. Rural Small Business Award for its positive influence on the area’s economy and community.
