April 7, 2:00 P.M.-6:00 P.M.: Private Sale for Friends of the Garden
April 8, 9:00 A.M.-1:00 P.M.: Public Sale
April 22, 9:00 A.M.-1:00 P.M.: Public Second Chance Sale
The South Carolina Botanical Garden Spring Plant Sale will be held on Friday, April 7 from 2-6 pm (open to Friends of the Garden; memberships available at gate), and Saturday, April 8, from 9 am-1 pm (public sales). There will also be a second chance sale on Saturday, April 22, from 9 am-1 pm (public sales). All sales will be held in the nursery section of the SCBG located at 154 Lacecap Loop.
Garden volunteers and staff are hard at work preparing for the sales. A large selection and variety of plant material will be available including: annuals, organically-grown vegetables and herbs, bog plants, perennials, shrubs, grasses, trees, fruits, berries and ferns. Many native plants will be available. A majority of the plant material offered for sale is produced in our nursery, and many selections are propagated from our SCBG plant collection.
Garden staff, Master Gardeners and Clemson Horticulture faculty will be on hand to assist with selection of plants for your home landscape. A catalog of plant material will be available online at www.clemson.edu/public/scbg/ several weeks before the sale. Catalogs will also be available at the gate.
Plant sales are the major fundraising events for the SCBG, and all proceeds support operations and enhancements in the garden. For additional information, please contact Jeanne Briggs, Nursery Manager, at 864-656-2458, or email@example.com. Visit the nursery’s Facebook page (SCBGNursery) for updates and pictures.
Thank you to all who participated in the Fall Plant Sale! Your support has allowed for the continued growth of the South Carolina Botanical Gardens. We look to offer an even greater selection of high quality plants in the coming years.
