Heirloom Vegetable Garden

Vegetable garden

The Heirloom Vegetable Garden showcases vegetables grown organically from seeds that have been in Upstate South Carolina for decades. The Garden ensures that these unique, historical seeds continue to be available to farmers throughout the Southeast.  Heirloom seeds are available for purchase from the Garden Gift Shop, or by contacting Foundation Seed (www.clemson.edu/seed).

Located near the Hanover House, the Heirloom Vegetable Garden is maintained and cared for by staff and students in Clemson University's Sustainable Agriculture program. Many of the vegetables grown here are sold at the Student Organic Farmer's Market.

To visit the Heirloom Vegetable Garden, use the Garden entrance by the stone gates, near the intersection of Perimeter Road and Hwy 76. Veer left at the first fork in the road (toward Garden Operations). The garden will be on your right before you reach the gates to the operations area.
