Service-Learning Opportunities with PSA Centers, Institutes and Extension Service

2008 Moderator Training workshop, September 25-26, 2008 in Pawley’s Island, South Carolina.  This year’s Public Policy Institute (PPI) workshop is sponsored by Coastal Carolina University’s Center for Effective Teaching and Learning and Clemson University’s Institute for Economic and Community Development.  The workshop will kick-off Thursday evening with a community forum (open to the public) on a timely issue – The Energy Problem: Choices for an Uncertain Future.  This is a  very hands-on program that will cover the relationship between deliberation and democracy, teach participants how to moderate a forum, as well as gain practical experience in facilitation.
