Uploadad PDF's produce garbled text & symbols?

When you upload an asset (JPG, TIF, GIF, PDF, ...) the system name will automatically say "File".

This means that Cascade will upload your file into the folder of choice and name it the same thing that it's named elsewhere (on your desktop, your jump drive, or some other file). In THIS case, the file extension WILL be included.

IF you overwrite “File” in the System Name field, then you have to be sure to include the file extension.

This is ONLY the case with uploads. When you name (with "System Name") other assets (folders, html pages) you DO NOT add any extension.

While a bit inconsistent Cascade-wide, it is a very useful feature. When uploading assets, I make sure that my file names (in “my documents” or on my desktop) are web-friendly so that when I upload, I only update the content tab....and do not have to bother with the system tab.
