Students who have documentation that supports notetaking as an appropriate accommodation should talk with a Disability Specialist about making arrangements for notetakers. Students will need to fill out and sign a Notetaker Request Form, with stipulated policies, either at SDS or, print one from the website and take it to SDS in G-20 Redfern. Notetakers will be identified either by the professor or SDS and arrangements made to get the notes to the student as soon as possible.
Faculty:
Faculty members who need more information about finding notetakers for their students should read Guidelines for Faculty or call Disability Services at 656-6848.
Notetakers:
Students who will serve as notetakers need to read the Volunteer Notetaker or SI Notetaker Guidelines (whichever is appropriate). Notetakers need to register with SDS to receive appropriate recognition at the end of the semester. The Notetaker Registration Form can be completed in the SDS office or printed, filled out and returned to SDS at G-20 Redfern.
