Research interest:
Biochemistry and immunology of archaic vertebrates, in particular, sharks , skates and rays. Isolation and purification of bioactive macromolecules, particularly cell regulating proteins, anti-oncogenic proteins, etc. Development of specific assays for bioactive compounds using such methods as microplate technology, molecular imprinting, and HPLC among others.

Additional Information: Dr. Bodine has appeared on several TV shows including Discovery! ( Shark week, In Search of the Golden Hammerhead, 1995-96, CNN, NOVA, and GLOBO. He has given lectures/seminars and has taught summer and interim courses at The Governor’s School for Science and Mathematics.1992-2005
