Dairy Cattle Evaluation

Students are given a standard by which we select and evaluate dairy cattle for the furthering of progress and efficiency in the dairy industry. Subsequent to acquiring a solid foundation on the physical attributes associated with a successful dairy animal, students are asked to place groups of animals from first to last. The ability to make this decision based on set standards is something every tentative, indecisive student could benefit from. However, students must also learn to adequately and articulately defend this decision to an industry expert by giving oral reasons.
