Analysis of Nutraceuticals in Foods

The purpose of the Analysis of Neutraceuticals in Foods is to separate, purify, and identify the bioactive chemicals in foods and characterize their health-benefiting functionalities. The Creative Inquiry team is working on identifying nutraceuticals in wine, grapes and TCM.


  • Find bioactive phytochemicals from various plants and determine the biological activities of a few of the components, primarily antioxidant and anti-cancer properties
