Spring Break Facility Hours

Saturday, March 18: 8 a.m.–8 p.m.
Sunday, March 19: 12–8 p.m.
Monday, March 20–Friday, March 24: 5:30 a.m.–9 p.m.
Saturday, March 25: 8 a.m.–8 p.m.
Sunday, March 26*: Noon–Midnight

*Normal building hours resume 


Climbing Wall: Closed for all Spring Break hours. 


McHugh Natatorium Lap Pool: Closing at 8:30 p.m. during the week (March 20–24) with normal weekend hours.


LoConte Family Field: No open recreation Friday, March 24. 


CORE Office: Closed for Spring Break. 


Closures and Reservations
Main Gym Courts
March 4: Courts 1–5 are reserved from 8 a.m.–12 a.m. for a Club Sports event. Open recreation will still be available in the Club Gym during this time.
March 5: Courts 1–3 are reserved from 8 a.m.–4:45 p.m. for a Club Sports event. Courts 4–5 are reserved from Noon–3 p.m. for a special event. Open recreation will still be available in the Club Gym during this time.
March 10: Courts 1–3 are reserved from 2–7 p.m. for a special event. Open recreation will still be available on Courts 4–5.
March 12: Courts 2–3 are reserved from Noon–3:30 p.m. for a special event. Courts 4–5 are reserved from Noon–3 p.m. for a special event. Open recreation will still be available on Court 1.
March 24: Courts 2–5 are reserved from 5:45–9 p.m. for a special event. Open recreation will still be available on Courts 1 & Club Gym.
March 25: Courts 2–5 are reserved from 8:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. for a special event. Open recreation will still be available on Courts 1 & Club Gym.
March 26: Courts 3–4 are reserved from Noon–4:15 p.m. and Court 5 is reserved from Noon–5:30 p.m for a special event. Courts 1–2 are reserved from Noon–3:15 p.m. for a special event. Open recreation will be available in the Club Gym.


McHugh Natatorium 
March 11: The Dive Well is reserved from 8 a.m.–4 p.m. for a Club Sports event. Open Recreation will still be available in pool lanes 3–8 from Noon–6 p.m. Lanes 1–2 are reserved from Noon–6:15 p.m. & the Dive Well is reserved from 4–6:15 p.m.
March 12: The Dive Well & Lanes 1–2 are reserved from 8:45 a.m.–6:15 p.m. for a lifeguarding course. Open recreation will still be available in pool lanes 3–8 from 1–4 p.m.
March 15: Pool Lanes 1–8 will be open for open recreation from 6:30–7:00 p.m. Pool Lanes 1–4 will be open for open recreation from 8–10 p.m. All Lanes will be closed for a special event from 7–8 p.m.
March 17: Lanes 1–4 are reserved from 6:30–9 p.m. for a special event. Open recreation will still be available in pool lanes 5–8 from 6:30–10 p.m.


Climbing Wall
March 6–12: Closed for a Club Sports event.


Lower Intramural Fields 
March 11: Reserved from 8 a.m.–7:30 p.m. for a Club Sports event.
March 12: Reserved from 10:30 a.m.–5 p.m. for a special event.
March 18: Reserved from 8 a.m.–6 p.m. for a Club Sports event.
March 19: Reserved from 8 a.m.–6 p.m. for a Club Sports event.


Shaw Family Parking Area
March 5: Reserved from 9:30 a.m.–2 p.m. for a Club Sport event.

Snow Family Outdoor Fitness and Wellness Center
LoConte Family Field

Open Recreation will be available on Fridays, 1–4 p.m., depending on weather conditions (no precipitation & above 50 degrees). 


LoConte Family Field is not available for open recreation if the field gate is closed and a Campus Recreation staff member is not onsite.


Beginning March 3, rowing teams from around the country will be utilizing the beach front and leisure docks to practice. The property and space are still open for use, but please be mindful of and respectful to our guests and their belongings. 


Certification Courses*
March 4: Lifeguard Review Course. Registration deadline is February 24. (Participants must hold a CURRENT lifeguard certification to register).
March 10–12: Full Lifeguarding Course. Registration deadline is March 3. 
March 31: CPR/AED/First Aid Review Course. Registration deadline is March 24 (must be previously CPR/AED/First Aid certified).
April 1: Full CPR/AED/First Aid Blended Learning Course. Registration deadline March 24.

*All courses are pending until appropriate enrollment numbers are reached. If a course is cancelled due to low registration or other unforeseen circumstances participants will have the option to be moved to another scheduled course or issued a full refund. 


Fitness and Wellness Updates


Group Fitness:
Wellness Works, our first–ever Group Fitness class challenge is set to start Monday, March 27! For 4 weeks, every class you register for and attend will count towards getting a prize once you hit 10, 15, 20, or 25 classes! Maximum of 2 classes per day. More details coming soon! 


Outdoor Adventure class is set to start March 30! Get your fresh–air fix when you take your fitness class outdoors! Outdoor Adventure uses the natural environment of Clemson University to provide a well–rounded workout. Exercises may include running drills, body–weight exercises and other fun, creative workouts! 


Wellness:

March 6, 3:30–5:30 p.m.
March's Wellness theme is Sleep Awareness and we're here to help you learn about all the benefits you're missing out on by not getting enough of it! Visit the Wellness Zone to get your trivia fix!


March 30, 4–6 p.m.
Before I Leave Clemson Wall–Regardless of how much time you have left in this town, come seta goal for something you want to accomplish!

Our Spring semester schedule is available!
Our spring semester calendar is up! Hop online to check out the many adventure trips we have coming up during the spring semester. Opportunities range from relaxing day hikes to some of our local waterfalls to epic weekend surfing trips and everything in between. All of our trips are beginner friendly, and we can provide everything you need to participate.

FREE Day–Use Boat Rentals
The weather is starting to warm up, and there is no better way to spend a warm day than paddling out on the lake. Come out to the beach at the Snow Family Outdoor Fitness & Wellness Center and grab a kayak or canoe FOR FREE and enjoy the outdoors for awhile! 


Housing Trips are Available 
Are you a part of one of our Clemson housing communities? Every semester, we offer multiple adventure trips through Clemson housing at little to no cost to students. These are great opportunities to get out with your community and build relationships through fun activities in the outdoors.
