Priority consideration for fall admission and assistantship funding requires applying by March 1. Spring enrollment is ONLY for part-time students without funding support. Priority consideration for spring admission requires applying by September 1. Students entering in spring may be eligible to apply for full-time enrollment and financial support the following fall.

Applications are considered holistically, but invited students typically have: 

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university 
  • GPA of 3.0-4.0
  • Competitive GRE scores on verbal/quantitative/writing tests. See scores for previously admitted students here.
  • We will accept TOEFL, IELTS or PTE Academic test scores. Scores must indicate very strong abilities in listening, writing and speaking. Non-native speakers can be given a conditional acceptance. TOEFL scores are not required if you have a degree from an English-speaking institution.
  • Strong writing skills demonstrated through a writing sample, personal statement, and curriculum vitae/resume.
  • Specific, detailed reasons for pursuing this MACTS degree program at Clemson as well as evidence of successfully working independently on projects, all as described in your in curriculum vitae/resume and statement of purpose.
