Rick Lucas

Rick Lucas (Director)

Rick Lucas, Director of the PGM Program at Clemson University, received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration at Old Dominion University and his MBA at Virginia Commonwealth University.  Currently, he is working on his doctorate in Career and Technology Education.  Mr. Lucas has over 20 years experience in the golf industry with extensive knowledge in managament of golf programs and operations.  His positions in the golf industry have included: assistant professional, teaching coordinator, head golf professional, and general manager at both public and private facilities.  Some career highlights include scoring in the top 5% in Business School I & II and winning the Philadelphia Assistant Association's Southern Championship. 

Adam Savedra

Adam Savedra (Assistant Director)

Adam Savedra is a PGA Professional and PGM Graduate with a Bachelors degree in Marketing and MBA from New Mexico State University.  Adam has over 8 eight years of experience in the golf business with extensive knowledge in teaching, tournament operations, and golf shop operations.  His industry experience includes a First Assistant/Tournament Director position with the four star Biltmore resort in Miami, FL, as well as working as a golf instructor for the John Pallot Golf Academy.  Adam also served as an Assistant Golf Professional at the PGA owned and operated PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, FL.  Now as a faculty member at Clemson, Adam works closely with each student; placing students on internship, advising students on academic and internship issues, mentoring students through the PGA/PGM program, and assisting in player development.  Adam currently teaches Introduction to Golf Management and Introduction to Teaching as well as seminar courses that help students prepare for PGA Checkpoints.

Caroline Goasguen

Caroline Goasguen (Recruitment & Player Development) 

Caroline Goasguen is a member of the LPGA and European PGA, and has earned a Bachelor of Arts from Purdue University. Caroline has extensive experience as both a player and instrcutor at the highest levels. Career highlights include top-10 finishes on the European LPGA Tour, Duramed Futures Tour, and the Canadian LPGA Tour. She was also a competitive member of the NCAA Division-1 runner up Arizona State University Women's Golf Team. Caroline gained experience in the golf industry by serving as an assistant professional at The Elks Country Club in West Lafayette, IN. She developed her strong teaching ability at the David Leadbetter Golf Academy in Montpellier, France. Currently, Caroline develops programs designed to enhance each students playing ability as they move through the PGM program. She is also active in recruiting competitive and enthusiastic students for the future classes of Clemson PGM.
