Because of our departmental mission, our faculty and students are involved in curricula, research, and service projects that aim to advance public health practice and to improve our society’s health status within the context of an innovative, multidisciplinary department and college. Public Health Science faculty and staff are committed to our college’s guiding principle of “excellence in teaching, research and outreach/service while developing human potential”. We were one of fifteen undergraduate programs selected as the result of a national competition initiated by the Associations for Prevention Teaching and Research (APTR) and the American Colleges and Universities (AACU) as an example of successful undergraduate programs in public health.
