Why did you choose your particular area of study? Health, especially physical activity, is really important to me and I want help others be healthier
What skills have you learned that will allow you to affect change in our society? I have learned techniques and skills to motivate people to make changes in their health behaviors so that they can maintain a lifetime.
Which member of the HEHD faculty will you remember most? Why? Debbie Falta because she loves what she does and works well with her students. I have always enjoyed her classes. She is very enthusiastic and makes the material relevant and interesting. It’s nice to see a smiling face in the morning.
What is your most memorable event from your time in college? I have 2: Competing at Collegiate Triathlon Nationals with the Triathlon Team in Texas and competing in my first half ironman
What would you do differently if you had to start over as a freshman? The only thing I can think of is that I would manage my time a lot better.
What are your goals after graduation? Get a Masters in Exercise Physiology and become a strength and conditioning coach at a university or for professional athletes
Why did you choose Clemson University? I originally wanted to go to medical school and I thought the Health Science program sounded like a good fit and would prepare me for medical school. I also loved that the campus was close to the lake and mountains. The athletic program was another thing that interested me.
