The Eugene T. Moore School of Education Department of Leadership, Counselor Education, Human and Organizational Development (LCH) is a culture of interdisciplinary and collaborative work. The work of the department reflects the five selected domains of leadership, ethics, diversity, research and policy. The work of the professors crosses these domains through teaching, service, and research via grants, contracts, publications and presentations. Particularly in their research professors may focus more intensely on some of the domains more than others.  › more 

Nursing Research Improving Education and Quality of Care Standards  Nov 2008
Research within the Clemson University College of Health, Education, and Human Development School of Nursing is helping improve nursing education by publishing research entitled "Graduate Nursing Education in Safe and Effective Care." The aim of the study was to foster interdisciplinary partnerships between relevant disciplines at Clemson University and related community experts to expand graduate student knowledge and application of performance improvement models, systems-engineering tools, safety design principles, and technology to enhance patient care processes with front-line staff in participating health care organizations. › more

Public Health Science Grows Research Programs  May 2008

Research Update  Feb 2008
The National Dropout Prevention Center provides a comprehensive range of research, informational and technical assistance services to a wide variety of clients extending from South Carolina to a worldwide audience. The center engages in many partnerships and collaborations both within our own college of HEHD, other colleges on the Clemson campus, and with well-known national organizations to further its work of providing research and other valuable services to influence researchers, policymakers, practitioners, and business leaders to address the crisis of students dropping out of school.

Dr. Kathy Headley, in her first year as associate dean for research, challenged the committee to highlight its numerous and varied collaborative research and creative activities. This month the Joseph F. Sullivan Center showcases its unique research infrastructure by presenting a complement of creative activities from the past year that have utilized Creative Inquiry processes, Summer Research Support, and graduate programs. › more
