BIORETENTION WORKSHOP

34 attendees plus Mayor Larry Bagwell of Easley attended a bioretention workshop on April 15 at Easley City Hall. Bioretention areas allow for infiltration of stormwater, settling of sediment, uptake of nutrients, and removal of other pollutants including bacteria and metals. A bioretention unit was installed and activated in the parking lot of City Hall during the workshop. Read the news coverage from the Anderson Independent Mail newspaper.
