Visiting the BCGM

The Bob Campbell Geology Museum is located in The South Carolina Botanical Garden, on the Clemson University Campus.  The museum is dedicated to presenting our collections to students, scholars, and the public in a manner that both informs and entertains. The museum is open to all, admission is FREE, and the museum is handicap accessible. For information and reservations please call (864)656-4600.

The Bob Campbell Geology Museum is open Monday through Saturday, 10:00am to 5:00pm, and Sundays 1:00pm to 5:00pm. Admission is FREE.

The Garden is open every day, dawn to dusk, free of charge.

The Fran Hanson Visitor's Center and the Fuller Art Gallery are open Monday through Saturday, 10:00am to 5:00pm and Sunday 1:00pm to 5:00pm, free of charge.

The Garden Visitor's Center and Museum are closed during home football games (view the schedule), Clemson University holidays (view the schedule) and the last two weekends in December.

and the SC Botanical Garden

The Bob Campbell Geology Museum is located in the SC Botanical Garden is located in Clemson, SC, on the east side of the Clemson University campus. The main entrance is located off Perimeter Road between Highway 76 and Cherry Road.

From Greenville, SC: Take I-85 South and then exit 19-B toward Clemson onto Highway 76. Continue on Hwy. 76 about 9 miles. You will pass the Armory on your right and shortly thereafter come to a stoplight. At this light, take a left turn onto Perimeter Road (Pearman Blvd.). Continue about 1/2 mile to the Garden's main entrance on the left.

From Easley, SC: Take Highway 123 toward Clemson. Exit Hwy. 93 in Clemson and go left. Travel 1 mile then cross over Hwy. 76 and take a hard left to get onto Hwy. 76 headed towards Anderson. Go 1/4 mile and take a right at first light, Perimeter Road (Pearman Blvd.). Continue about 1/2 mile to the Garden's main entrance on the left.

From Seneca/Walhalla, SC: Take Highway 123 toward Clemson. Exit onto Highway 93 toward Clemson University campus. Follow 93 to the next light and turn right onto Perimeter Road. After you cross Cherry Road (the golf course is on your right) the entrance to the Garden is about 3/4 mile ahead on your right.

From Charlotte, NC: Take I-85 South and then exit 19-B toward Clemson onto Highway 76. Continue on Hwy. 76 about 9 miles. You will pass the Armory on your right and shortly thereafter come to a stoplight. At this light, take a left turn onto Perimeter Road (Pearman Blvd.). Continue about 1/2 mile to the Garden's main entrance on the left.

From Atlanta, GA: Take I-85 North toward Greenville, SC, then exit 19-B at Clemson. Continue on Hwy. 76 about 9 miles. You will pass the Armory on your right and shortly thereafter come to a stoplight. At this light, take a left turn onto Perimeter Road (Pearman Blvd.). Continue about 1/2 mile to the Garden's main entrance on the left.

From Columbia, SC: Take I-26 west toward Greenville/Spartanburg to I-385 west toward Greenville. Get on I-85 South toward Atlanta, then exit 19-B toward Clemson. Continue on Hwy. 76 about 9 miles. You will pass the Armory on your right and shortly thereafter come to a stoplight. At this light, take a left turn onto Perimeter Road (Pearman Blvd.). Continue about 1/2 miles to the Garden's main entrance on the left.

Directions to the Hayden Conference Center and Hanson Nature Learning Center

From the corner of Hwy. 76 & Perimeter Road, take the first road on the left (at the stone gates), marked by a brown directional sign. Follow the road to the right. The Nature Center is located behind the Hayden Conference Center.

Reach the Caboose parking lot by turning left immediately after the Garden's main entrance and following signs to the Horticulture Gardens.

The Fran Hanson Visitor's Center is located at the end of the Garden's main entrance road.  Follow Garden Trail to the right and past the meadow. The Visitor's Center is the brick two story building on the hill on the right. Parking is located at the end of the main entrance road, visitor drop-off is at the front of the building. Handicapped access is located behind the Carriage House adjacent to the Visitor's Center. Follow the signs through the large parking lot.
