Student Activities

Kids picking pumpkins. The Edisto Research and Education Center welcomes students of all ages to visit, study, and work at the facilities.  Whether they are hosting their Kids Farm Days or housing graduate students completing research, the faculty and staff are eager to share their knowledge and expertise with interested ears.

One of the main objectives of the faculty and staff of the Edisto Research and Education Center is to welcome students of all ages to visit, study, and work at the station.  Each year over a 1,000 elementary students come to the Edisto R.E.C. to participate in Kids Farm Days.

Several dozen high school and college students spend their summers working as interns at the Edisto R.E.C. getting hands-on experience in agricultural research.  The ultimate teaching experience at the Edisto R.E.C. are the graduate programs where Clemson University graduate students live on the station and conduct their thesis research under the direct supervision of their faculty advisors.
