Lecturer — Genetics and Biochemistry

The Department of Genetics and Biochemistry at Clemson University invites applications for a full-time, 9-month position of Lecturer. The primary responsibilities of this position are to teach GEN 3000 Fundamental Genetics, an undergraduate non-majors genetics course, in the fall semester and to teach BCHM 3010 Molecular Biochemistry, an undergraduate majors sophomore level biochemistry course, and BCHM Honors 3010 Molecular Biochemistry, an undergraduate majors/non-majors biochemistry course in the spring semester. 

The Department offers B.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Genetics and in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology, and provides a first-rate environment for engaging students and colleagues in collaborative research and teaching efforts spanning genetics and biochemistry. Expected start date is August 2019. This is a renewable, non-tenure track position with opportunity for promotion. Salary level will be commensurate with education and experience, and a benefits package is included.

Qualifications: A Ph.D. in a relevant discipline is required and teaching experience at the college level is preferred.
