Dear Student,

We are delighted that you have chosen Clemson University for your college education.  As a member of this Clemson community, it is important that you learn about the expectations that all members of the community, including your student peers, will have of you.  A common thread to all that follows in this handbook are the underlying Core Values that your Student Government peers have identified for all Clemson University members to follow: Honesty, Integrity, and Respect. The Student Handbook has been produced to assist you in understanding the standards for community behavior and to provide knowledge of campus resources that will contribute to your learning and overall success.  Please take the time to familiarize yourself with all of the contents of this handbook as it will be a helpful guide for you throughout your college career.

The Student Affairs vision is to have the nation's most engaged, satisfied, and successful student body.  The student life experience is designed to support the academic mission and to enhance your college experience.  Student life opportunities exist for everyone - they are a way to find your niche at Clemson.  Through your involvement you will learn more about yourself, develop valuable leadership skills, meet people from different cultures and backgrounds and be able to give back to the campus and local community.  I hope you will engage in the myriad of activities that are available and designed with you in mind.
