Dear Clemson Students,
I want to extend a warm welcome to all new and returning students. I hope you will have a rewarding and
successful year here at Clemson
University. I encourage you to become familiar with the
following handbook, so that you may fully experience every opportunity that
Clemson has to offer. Feel free to ask
questions and learn more about why these guidelines are important to respect.
I would particularly encourage you to read about Clemson's Core Values Statement.
Integrity, Honesty, and Respect are values by which Clemson men and women
should live. This is not an academic honor code or administrative policy. These
core values were developed by students, faculty and staff who believed that
these virtues are necessary to truly understand our responsibilities and rights
as members of the Clemson family. During
your time here, it is important to discover what the Core Values mean to you
individually, and to develop those values as you go about your everyday life
within our community.
In addition to becoming familiar with our Core Values, please take the time to enjoy yourself while at Clemson. We have many rich traditions in which you can participate, and over 300 student organizations to which you can belong. Participate in our old traditions, begin your own traditions, and get involved on campus. It is incredible the rewards you will receive from being an engaged member of our student body.
It is my privilege and honor to be able to serve the student body in the upcoming year. I, along with Student Government, aim to be a resource to help make your Clemson experience as engaging, satisfying, and successful as possible. Please let me know if I can be of any assistance to you in the future, and, of course, Go Tigers!
For Clemson,
Abby C. Daniel
