Profile

Charles Tegen joined the faculty in the School of Accountancy in Fall, 2016. He is a proven Higher Education leader with a accomplished record of leading and developing a finance team, effectively collaborating with decision makers in developing and implementing plans to resource division and institutional strategic goals and effectively serving students, faculty and staff and executive leaders. He has served in regional and national leadership for the National and Southern Associations for College and University Business Officers. He has been recognized nationally with the Daniel D Robinson Award for Excellence in Leadership in Accounting and Financial Reporting and the Professional Development Award, regionally with a Distinguished Service Award and by his alma mater with the Professional Excellence Award. Charles Tegen served as the higher education representative to the Governmental Accounting Standard Advisory Council for three-two year terms. He is a frequent speaker and panelist at state, regional and national meetings on higher education and governmental accounting, management accounting and analysis and enterprise risk management.
