Vision Care

Participation in a state health plan or an HMO is not required to take advantage of the discounted vision care program. Participating ophthalmologists and optometrists throughout the state have agreed to charge no more than $60 for a routine, comprehensive eye examination.  Providers also agreed to give a 20% discount on all eyewear purchased except disposable contact lenses.  

Participating providers are listed in the Vision Care Program Provider Directory which may be obtained from the Employee Insurance Program web site at:  www.eip.sc.gov.
