WELCOME TO THE

AGRICULTURAL HERITAGE CENTER

The Agricultural Heritage Center, Inc. was formed to provide a better understanding of agriculture an its influence on culture and economics. The Center consists of three coordinated parts: an Agricultural Heritage Museum, a Discovery Center and a Hands-On Learning Center. The Center involves close cooperation between agriculture, tourism and education for the benefit of the public. The Center is located on the campus of the Clemson University - Edisto Research and Education Center at Blackville, SC. It provides tourism and educational opportunities for the general public. It attracts visitors from a wide area, including international visitors, and provides an educational and cultural attraction for a large number of underprivileged residents, particularly students, in the region. Because of the location and its partnership with Clemson University, the Center provides a unique opportunity for the public to revisit the past and observe modern agricultural research as it is being conducted. The museum cooperates with the South Carolina State Museum and other Museums.

The Agricultural Heritage Center is located at Clemson University's Edisto Research and Education Center, Hwy 78 West, Blackville, SC 29817.

Visitors to the Agriculutural Heritage Center will see the museum, the learning center, and the discovery center.
