The Museum's purposes are:

to preserve and interpret the history of agriculture and rural life; and to relate the history of agriculture to the past and present culture and economics to the region. Displays of antique equipment and artifacts, and exhibits tell the story of agriculture and its role in shaping history and the present. In addition to its educational value, the museum provides a new attraction for tourism to the region.
