The donation will provide scholarships for young men in the MISTER program and fund six students throughout their Emerging Scholars experience. The PNC Foundation has awarded a $50,000 grant to Project BEEMS (Building Environments for Early Mathematics Success). Clemson education professor Jonda C. McNair has been named a co-editor of Language Arts, a leading national education journal. Clemson University’s Eugene T. Moore School of Education has been named one of the best value teaching programs in the U.S., according to Best Value Schools.  AdvanceSC has awarded a $40,000 grant to Clemson University for a program to improve STEM literacy among Upstate students. Dr. Phinnize J. Fisher Middle School is the first STEAM middle school in Greenville County. Clemson’s MAT Middle Grades Education program receives $800,000 to prepare and mentor middle school math and science teachers. Pamela Havice has been named director of the Faculty Council for the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA). The Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs granted continuing accreditation to clinical mental health and school counseling Master of Education and Education Specialist programs.
